Who is Miles?

Miles Todd sounds like Travis Scott had a verse on the Stranger Things theme song.

This sound was formulated by the sounds of his youth. From birth, Miles was fascinated with the dramatic grandiosity of classical music. He grew up during the EDM boom of the early 2010’s, and his high school years were soundtracked by the vulnerability of superstar rappers such as Drake and Kendrick Lamar. These three elements have combined to give Miles an anthemic yet authentic sound that is uniquely his.

Born in the Bible Belt, Miles was raised with an internal desire to be good. As he grew older, he held himself to incredibly high standards and struggled with his drive to be perfect. His perfectionism ultimately manifested in private bouts of depression and social anxiety, slowly transforming his positive and outgoing nature into a public persona that he struggled to maintain.

Much of Miles’ music is concerned with his battle against his own mind. His new album Peter Pan Syndrome is the story of a young man overwhelmed by his difficulty with relationships, his inability to make decisions, and pining for his childhood. Despite his struggles, he knows there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s clear that Miles’ music resonates with people. His song “Never Give Up” received rave reviews from the crew of the popular YouTube channel Hivemind, and he was described as a “...rising music superstar” by music journalist Natalie Patrick. He is currently working on his second studio album, a musically diverse project with lyrical themes of self-discovery, mental health treatment, the importance of friends and family, and disillusionment with his dream of becoming a career musician. He is also working on “my raps, their beats”, a short collection of original lyrics set to instrumentals from popular rap songs.
